Farm Fresh Produce - it isn't unless you buy it locally

I've thought about blogging for a while but keep thinking that I won't have time. Between the work, the gardening, the photography, the housekeeping and the husband - there isn't enough time in the day. But I have said that I want to write more, and to read more. Would this count?

I got up early and went to one of the local farmer's markets and came home with red raspberrries, peas, potatoes, kale, cucumbers, zucchini and a watermelon. Well ok - the watermelon didn't come from the official farmer's market. It came from the guy across the road that was touting that his produce was farm fresh. I asked where the watermelon came from - he said Georgia. Last week, I asked where the tomatoes were from - he said Arkansas. But my other vegetables came from less than 20 miles from where I live. In one way, I wish that more people understood the importance of buy local, supporting the local community and importance of sustainable farming. In another way, I'm just glad to go get some great truly farm fresh produce.
